LIGHT, LIFE, & PEACE MINISTRY
Sharing A Messianic Perspective For The Glory Of God!

What If you were to die right this very moment?

Multitudes are going to find out, too late, that the road they are traveling leads to hell, not heaven.

How about you? If you were to die today, are you absolutely 100% certain that you would go to heaven? Do you have eternal life?

Many if not most people believe they deserve to go to heaven, but that is simply not true.

Let us see why so few people will gain salvation. Jesus foretold that a small number of people would choose to be saved: “Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matt 7:14)

The first reason people do not make it to Heaven is because they put off salvation or neglect it altogether. Too many are more worried with the cares of this life than they are of the one choice that will last for all eternity.

The second reason people don’t go to Heaven is that they reject Christ’s gift of eternal life. People’s pride and unwillingness to face up to their need for a Savior holds them back. Some reject salvation because they do not understand how His death 2,000 years ago could affect them now.

The third reason few people make Heaven their home is that they trust in a salvation that is not based on the blood of Jesus Christ. Some think, “If I’ve been a good boy or girl all my life, then He’ll let me in.” If anyone could live a good enough life to gain favor from God, they would also be able to clean themselves by rolling in mud.

Nothing is more important than our need to follow Jesus. The cares of this world do not compare with the importance of being prepared for the world to come. If you missed out on the eternal bliss of heaven and ended up in hell, the extremeness of your mistake would be impossible to measure.

As the world falls apart all around us, we should be praying more and more, studying God’s Word passionately, and sharing our resources with others. When the rapture takes place, the only items that will be raptured with you into glory are your works. Your house, car, money, and unsaved friends will remain behind.

HOW TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE AND KNOW IT!

1. It is possible to know that you have eternal life. “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:13)

2. You must realize that you are a sinner. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:23)

3. You must realize that you do not deserve to go to heaven, but rather, because you are a sinner, deserve eternal torment, which the Bible calls “the second death.”

“For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20)

4. You need to understand what God, in love, has done to keep you from suffering eternal torment. “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” (1 Corinthians 15)

The key expression in the above verse that most people have never paid attention to is “for our sins.” Christ paid, 2000 years ago, for every sin that you would ever commit. “All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” (Isaiah 53:6)

Now eternal life is offered as a free gift. For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23) But a gift is not possessed until it is PERSONALLY RECEIVED...

5. You must know how you can personally receive God’s gift of eternal life. “Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.” (Acts 16)

To believe on Christ means to trust, or depend, upon His sacrificial death, burial and resurrection to pardon you and take you to heaven. Are you willing to do that? It is not something you do with your body; it is something you do with your heart.

If you will right now, for the first time in your life, trust Christ’s sacrifice for you to give you eternal life, do it. If you come to Him in this manner, God will save you right now, for the Scripture says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved," (Rom. 10:13).

Recite this prayer “Dear Jesus, I know I have sinned against you. I confess that I am a sinner. I accept the sacrifice you made on the cross on my behalf. I ask you to come into my heart. Please cleanse me of my sin. And give me eternal life. I repent from my sins and put my trust in You. Thank you Jesus. Amen.

6. Then, take God at His word. “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:36)

Salvation is a free gift from God, apart from any work we could do (Eph. 2:8-9). We cannot be saved if we are trusting in our church, our giving, our baptism, or any other good work we could do. Only faith in Jesus Christ alone brings salvation.
